Heather Riddle, Augsburg鈥檚 vice president of Institutional Advancement, was quoted in a recent听Star Tribune听article on the results of GiveMN鈥檚 annual Give the the Max Day. Riddle discussed how Augsburg staff and volunteers responded to technical difficulties with the GiveMN.org website.听Visit the听Star Tribune听website听to read, 鈥淢innesotans donated record $17,145,000 on Give to Max Day.鈥� Augsburg College鈥檚 Give to the Max Day campaign also was mentioned in an Associated Press article on GiveMN website difficulties. Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing mentor Jack El-Hai鈥檚 newest book,听Non-Stop: A Turbulent History of Northwest Airlines, was听Star Tribune.听 Kruger, who studied international relations and economics at Augsburg, began work as the Northwest Volunteer Coordinator for Bread for the City in Washington, D.C. is a national service-leadership program that unites people to work for peace with justice. Volunteers live together in intentional community, practice simple and sustainable living, and work full-time with social justice organizations. In the Everyday Health article, “” Adducci discusses how the support he receives from Augsburg鈥檚 (CLASS) allows him to double major in business management and psychology with minors in economics and political science. During his time at Augsburg,听Adducci has made the dean鈥檚 list with a 4.0 grade-point average and has shed much of the stigma associated with having a learning disability. CLASS specialists guide students to appropriate accommodations such as extended time for exams, note takers in classes, and recorded or electronic books, and help with time management and organizational skills, learning strategies, and compensatory techniques. These accommodations, Adducci said in the Everyday Health article, make all the difference when paired with a helpful staff and faculty networks. He has gained confidence and learned how to communicate his needs with Augsburg professors. Adducci also was featured in the summer 2012 Augsburg Now article, “.” Nearly 200 Augsburg students were named to the Spring 2013 Trimester Dean’s List. South Africa Consul Political Fransie Cooper will sign the book in a public opening ceremony at 3 p.m., July 17, in Augsburg College鈥檚 Oren Gateway Center.
