At Commencement ceremonies on May 3-4, Augsburg College will honor more than 800 graduation candidates who intend to complete their undergraduate or graduate degree requirements before the end of the 2014 calendar year. 聽includes students studying in one of nine graduate degree programs or specializing in one of more than聽50 undergraduate majors offered at Augsburg. for event details and distinguished guest information. The first commencement celebrations of Minnesota鈥檚 private colleges takes place the weekend of May 3-4 at Augsburg College with ceremonies for traditional day undergraduates on May 3 and for students of the adult undergraduate, Rochester, and nursing programs and graduate students on May 4. The schedules and details about media photo opportunities are below. Ceremonies are in Si Melby Hall located on 23rd聽Avenue South. In the event of rain, students will line up in the basement of Si Melby and process up the stairs into the gym. On April 18, Augsburg College professor of economics聽Jeanne Boeh joined Star Tribune business columnist聽Lee Schafer and American Public Media correspondent Chris Farrell in a business panel discussion on Almanac, a Twin Cities Public Television (TPT) program. On the聽public affairs show,聽the panel discussed local and national economic issues ranging from the housing market and social security to employee compensation and inflation.
