Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, and Data Science聽provide tools for solving a wide array of quantitative and computational problems.聽Our majors and minors develop the ability to understand both applied and abstract quantitative relationships, to interpret and communicate with data, to use modern technology to compute, and to understand and implement algorithms. Based on a strong theoretical foundation and grounded in the liberal arts, these perspectives and skills are critical not only to today鈥檚 top jobs but also to the yet-to-be-discovered jobs of the future.聽Students completing a major in Mathematics, Mathematical Economics,聽Computer Science, or Data Science,聽or a minor in Mathematics, Statistics,聽Computer Science, or Data Science聽go on to careers such as Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Finance, and Insurance, or to teach in Grades 7-12. They pursue graduate work in Mathematics, Statistics/Biostatistics,聽Computer Science,聽Economics, Finance, Law, Business, or other sciences.聽The department offers the following programs:

  • Computer Science (BA, BS, and Minor)
  • Data Science (BS and Minor)
  • Mathematics (BA, BS, and Minor)
  • Mathematics: Secondary Education (BS)
  • Mathematical Economics (BS)
  • Statistics (Minor)
