If you have any questions about End of the Year Closing, please contact &#x52;&#x65;&#x73;&#x69;&#100;&#101;&#110;ce&#x4c;&#x69;&#x66;&#x65;&#x40;&#97;&#117;&#103;sb&#x75;&#x72;&#x67;&#x2e;&#x65;&#100;&#117;.<\/p>\n<h3><b>24-Hour Quiet Hours<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beginning Friday, May 1, at 5:00 PM, 24-hour Quiet Hours will be enforced until 12:00 PM on Friday, May 8. Please keep your volume low so all community members can sleep and study peacefully.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Closing Day and Late Stays<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>All residents are expected to be completely moved out of their spaces 24 hours after their last academic commitment, but<strong> no later than Friday, May 8, 2026, at 12:00 PM.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you need to stay later than May 9, please fill out the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSd9Fq6Pqd0khISUKlqz4wtBxxRUh8ePyQVGoQz23_YqZRFMwA\/viewform?usp=publish-editor\">Late Stay Request<\/a> form <b>by 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will need to schedule a check-out appointment with your CA.\u00a0 At your check-out appointment, your space must be clean, and all of your items must be removed from the space. If not, the CA will ask you to reschedule your time when things are completed<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the check-out is complete, the CA will collect your key. If you do not return your key, you will be charged a rekey fee.\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">$35 for all spaces in Urness, Mortensen, Luther; $35 for Anderson and OGC bedrooms or apartments; $125 for Anderson and OGC townhouses, floorhouses, and flats.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are staying on campus for the summer, you do not need to complete a Late Stay Request or sign up for a check-out appointment. You will receive an email with specific summer move-in instructions<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Check-Out To-Do List<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have a MicroFridge, make sure it is defrosted (this may take several hours, so plan ahead)!<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To defrost your MicroFridge, start by unplugging the unit. Remove any items from inside, then leave the freezer and fridge doors open.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove large ice pieces as they come loose, and wipe up excess water with a towel. We recommend placing a towel at the bottom for the MicroFridge to soak up water as the ice melts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once your MicroFridge is defrosted, leave the doors open and the unit unplugged.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Place all furniture in the original location and condition, including resetting your bed if you changed the height setting<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove all lighting strips, stickers, nails, tape, and other wall-mounting supplies<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wipe down\/clean all surfaces, including:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Windows and window sills<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Desks, dressers, and mattresses<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kitchen counters, sinks, cabinet\/drawer fronts, and cabinet\/drawer interiors<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Refrigerators and microwaves (inside and out)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bathroom counters, sinks, tubs, shower walls, cabinet fronts, and cabinet\/drawer interiors<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bag and seal your trash and dispose of it in the nearest trash chute<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the trash chute is blocked, call 612-330-1717 to inform Custodial Services and take your trash to the nearest dumpster<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Large bags or items that do not fit into the trash chute also go directly to the dumpster. Some examples of large items are:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rugs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Furniture<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Large boxes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recycling\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lamps\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove all food and personal items from your fridge, freezer, and cabinets<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Close and lock your windows<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Return any borrowed items (like carts or cleaning supplies) to the RLife Office in the Urness\/Mort lobby<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Closing Charges and Billing Information<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Commonly assessed closing charges include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Improper Check-Out Fee: $100<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Large Item Removal Fee: $100 per item<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Includes couches, chairs, rugs, and all other furniture<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Small Item Removal Fee: $10 per item<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trash Removal Fee: $20 per room<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bed Reset Fee: $50<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Microfridge Defrost Key: $20 per resident assigned to the space<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lost Key: $35 for all spaces in Urness, Mortensen, Luther; $35 for Anderson and OGC bedrooms or apartments; $125 for Anderson and OGC townhouses, floorhouses, and flats.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each community member is responsible for properly disposing of or donating items. Please keep in mind:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If trash is left in the space,\u00a0<strong>you<\/strong>\u00a0will be assessed a removal fee<\/li>\n<li>If trash is left in the hallways,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>the<strong>\u00a0floor<\/strong>\u00a0will be assessed a removal fee<\/li>\n<li>If items are left in the hallways, the\u00a0<strong>floor\u00a0<\/strong>will be assessed a removal fee<\/li>\n<li>If items are left in lobbies or common areas, the\u00a0<strong>building<\/strong>\u00a0will be assessed a removal fee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Share Shop Support<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The Share Shop offers furniture pickup for items in good condition that pass an inspection.<\/li>\n<li>To donate, complete the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfGRFF4MO8kvHEaW9u_pXsqaHNwqBDMHwulItZVT_JxnmbxaQ\/viewform?usp=publish-editor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Share Shop: Furniture Drop-Off<\/u><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/Bcr4bu2y69edEf9L9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/forms.gle\/Bcr4bu2y69edEf9L9&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1744828415048000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2eo_roNJJPsh9qMkGQZ493\"><u>\u00a0Form<\/u><\/a>\u00a0(QR code available on bulletin boards).\n<ul>\n<li>After submitting the form, the Share Shop will contact you to schedule an inspection.<\/li>\n<li>If approved, pickups will be scheduled for the week of April 27, on Monday through Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>There will be no Share Shop donation drop-off sites in the Residence Halls.
